Hi,
I visited the local ancestory.com web site and noticed that they redirect the login credentials to secure.ancestory.com.... IE has a security setting preventing navigation into a security zone of lower integrity... this stops fake websites stealing your login credentials from legitimate websites.
Yet... if you take ancestory.com but non secure.ancestory.com in your IE Trusted Sites list, it appears that the site asking for your credentials (secure.ancestory.com) is different from the one y'all are visiting and IE prevents yous from navigating into it....
from IE select
Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default"
then
Trusted Sites Icon, 'Sites' button.
remove http(s)://ancestory.com from your list of Trusted Sites....
save your changes so navigate to http://ancestory.com
the Trusted Sites zone actually has less security than the Internet Zone.... (it allows scripted and unsigned activeX controls for case, while the Internet zone does not).
Mostly home users should not add sites/domains to the IE Trusted Sites zone...
Publicly attainable websites similar ancestory.com, Facebook.com and yahoo.com are designed to piece of work just every bit well if they are non in the Trusted Sites list.
The Trusted sites list is mainly used by large companies for Business concern to Business organization commerce.... where one company is using an intranet site to send information to another publicly accessible internet site.
HTH.
